Scheduling a free evaluation with ACDT is the first step towards tackling any behavioral problems you may be experiencing with your dog, as we can help turn your dog into a well-behaved member of the family. The second step is to begin a basic obedience dog training program that is designed to initiate and reinforce correct behavior.

A free preliminary evaluation will enable our experienced staff to capture all relevant information about your dog and your home environment. Once we understand the underlying issues with your dog’s behavior, we can establish a basic obedience plan that is designed to help your dog begin the process towards good behavior.

We have observed over and over again the great pleasure our clients derive from seeing how our classes lead to a dog that is well-behaved in all surroundings. It will become a joy rather than a burden to walk your dog or participate in other outdoor activities. You will no longer have to be afraid that your dog might run off after something or jump on a stranger.

There are many triggers that contribute to a dog’s behavioral issues. Most involve a mix of factors related to the dog’s environment and their breed predisposition, as well as his or her needs and temperament. The good news is that our staff at ACDT are experts at solving dog behavioral problems. Call or email us to schedule a free evaluation.

Lifetime Unlimited Classes for Your Dog

We recommend our Basic Obedience class to develop a solid foundational structure and to overcome behavioral conflicts for dogs of any age.

Basic Obedience training focuses on teaching fundamental commands in a structured format through positive reinforcement. Our philosophy is not to correct a bad habit but instead to reinforce good behavior. Our training methods develop strong and healthy social bonds between dog owner and dog by having your canine master the following basic commands step by step:

    • Sit
    • Down
    • Heel
    • Go to place

After mastering these basics, more advanced commands are introduced:

    • Walking control
    • Heelwork
    • Distance control
    • Off leash control

We encourage the whole family to join the class, and to watch and learn so that everyone is on the same page when it comes to properly working with your dog.

The classes are social and fun, and give your dog the opportunity to meet new friends in a safe, clean environment. Our special method of training will bring owner and dog to a common level of understanding to master basic commands.

    Private Lessons

This one-on-one program provides a more intimate way of learning how your dog thinks to best obtain the social performance you desire on a schedule that is convenient for you. The one-hour lesson allows our top trainers to serve you in a more focused and personalized way to discuss, address, and resolve every issue.

    Board and Train

We offer an intensive two-week Board and Train obedience program that is ideal for owners with very busy schedules or time limitations, but who still want to enjoy the benefits of a well-trained dog. The training can be planned around a business trip or vacation to minimize the impact.
